Love Local Coffee Shop
Foster Park
About Love Local:
My personal FAVORITE on the list!!! They’re such a cute little shop with tons of adorable treats and goodies inside made by local artists in Fort Worth. If you want to be fully supporting local here, this is the place to go.
The space itself has tables and plugs and food available, though I personally have not worked from here myself so cannot attest to wifi speed. But I do always love coming in here for their espresso, and I always end up leaving with something else.
Ampersand Coffee Shop
Cultural District, Fort Worth
About Ampersand:
Instagrammable interior but not a ton of seating, plenty of space outdoors, dog friendly, ALSO there is a Secret Bar in the back!!! Its definitely more for individual work as opposed to groups because the space is small, but still good to hang out at. Their coffee is good and their smoothies are always solid and especially good if youre a fan of specialty coffees.
Sons Coffee Shop
Sundance Square, Fort Worth
About Sons Coffee:
Previously known as Sons of Liberty and now as Sons! Open + Airy, Plenty of Space, Minimalist, Medium Noise levels here. It’s one of the best coffee shops in Fort Worth to work from because of how many tables and plugs they have. Plus, lots of pastries and drinks available here with a huge parking garage around back to park at!
Avoca Coffee Roasters
Multiple Locations in Fort Worth
About Avoca Coffee:
Definitely more traditional of a spot with cozy dark academia atmosphere and higher noise levels because of the people here. They have tons of tables available, though not as many plugs as you’d think. They also have food available, which is one of the reasons they’re on this list since most the shops on this list do not!
Buon Giorno Coffee
Sundance Square, Fort Worth
About Buon Giorno Coffee:
I’ve been going to the Grapevine location my entire life, so the fact they have a Fort Worth one now is wild to me! It’s definitely a dark cozy spot to get your work done, and I recommend it more as a Fort Worth coffee shop to study from. Very much quieter, smaller tables, iffy amount of plugs, and a lot of individual work happening here. They do have pastries and they’ve got great desserts (can attest).

Rio Dulce Coffee (Previously Vaquero Coffee House)
Sundance Square, Fort Worth
About Rio Dulce:
They’re recently done some rebranding! Known as Vaquero before 2020, Rio Dulce is a great local rustic spot right in the heart of Fort Worth that’s a gem to work from. I haven’t had their coffee myself since they opened so I don’t want to judge them for that, but I like it more as a space to work or study from in Fort Worth. Smaller tables, a good amount of pastries, what I remember to be good coffee, and a quieter space!
Stir Crazy Baked Goods
West Magnolia, Fort Worth
About Stir Crazy:
Changing it up with a space that is known for their pastries more than their coffee, but because I do enjoy being here! They’re colorful and bright and have delicious pastries. More a space for group work and less individual work, but lots of tables to make that happen. And especially good if you want something to eat with that coffee!
Ascension Coffee House
University Park Village
About Ascension Coffee:
This is one I probably go to most often in Fort Worth because it’s so convenient, but it’s a great spot! I recommend the coffee to go unless you want to stay and eat, because it doubles as a brunch restaurant and it can get BUSY very quickly here. It’s a lot of people having lunch and hanging out, and not a ton of space to work from or peace and quiet if that’s what you are looking for. But the coffee is good and you can do some major shopping after!
Press Cafe
Como, Fort Worth
About Press Cafe:
Press is a spot I visit when I want to enjoy a gorgeous outdoor patio, personally! I like their coffee and their food but that’s not REALLY why I find myself here, it’s more when its a gorgeous day outside and you need a little patio. They have TONS of tables, but usually you are going to wait if it’s a weekend but the wait isn’t bad when you can walk along the trail or do some people watching.

Love coffee shops! I’m thinking of visitng DFW since two of my good friends live there. I love how you listed the plug situation on each of these shops – it drives me nuts when there’s place to plug my phone/laptop in.
