Where to Stay in Dripping Springs
Lucky Arrow Campgrounds
We stayed at Lucky Arrow when we were visiting Dripping Springs, and loved it! The campground doubles as a wedding venue, and they have plenty of different cabins and yurts available for your stay. It’s a great location for groups too, as a lot of the cabins are clustered together with fire pits between so you can stay with friends!
Camp Lucy
Another wedding venue retreat in Dripping Springs that will blow your mind with its beauty! If you’re looking for something more upscale on your trip, this is the perfect place to stay. Also, the restaurant here is a beauty and I have been dying to go!
AIRBNB
We absolutely love a quick getaway for a bigger group and often find that to be the more affordable option! I put together 15 gorgeous hill country AirBnbs I absolutely recommend with amazing prices + reviews + the best locations!

What To Know Before You Go
YOU’LL WANT TO RENT A CAR
Obviously, you absolutely should not be driving while you’re drinking. But the best way to get around Dripping Springs is definitely by car. If you’re coming in from somewhere in Texas, be prepared to drive around the different locations.
NOT AS COMMERCIAL AS FREDERICKSBURG
Not as many wineries, and definitely not as commercial and crowded because of it! You’ll find more boutique-style wineries and fewer actual vineyards. Embrace that, and embrace how much more peaceful it is!
Dripping Springs Best Wineries to Visit
Driftwood Estate Winery
Technically in Driftwood, but still had to make the list! This beautiful boutique winery has some insanely beautiful hill country views that you won’t find anywhere else. The cliff overlooks the vineyards and the countryside, and you can sit and sip while enjoying it. Also, they have a little food shack on the property if you’re hungry!
Duchman Family Estate
One of the most beautiful Italian-style wineries out in Dripping Springs! They have incredibly good wine, a stunning outdoor venue to drink it, and the staff really is knowledgeable and can answer your questions. Perfect spot to visit!
Bell Springs Winery
More quaint and cute than the other wineries, known for their adorable house and an outdoor patio that you can enjoy on a beautiful day. We loved that this was literally next to Lucky Arrow so we could enjoy all the wine we wanted and then walk right back to the campgrounds!
Best Breweries in Dripping Springs, Texas
Vista Brewing Co
This is my favorite of them all out here! Not only is Vista known for their incredible beers (so good) but the space is stunning. Their interior is beautiful and their outside patio is just as gorgeous. They have SOOO much space so you can walk around the property, and they often will have live music you can enjoy too!
Family Business Brewing Co
A beloved brewery that I also have on my Best Breweries & Beer Gardens in Austin list! Firstly, they’re kid-friendly with a giant playground on-site for your kids to hang out in. So you can drink your day away! They’ve got plenty of live music during the weekends, and both a covered patio and an expansive open yard for you to enjoy. And, great beer!
12 Fox Beer Co
This is actually a new spot that has popped up in the last year! It’s a beer garden with tons of delicious beers on tap and a gorgeous outdoor patio you can enjoy the stunning weather on. I love the huge space and the fact they have a giant kid-friendly playground for the tiny humans to run around.
Twisted X Brewing Co
This isn’t my favoriteeee brewery of them, but still a great one! With delicious beers (my favorite is the McConaughaze). Plus, they have a huge indoor and outdoor space and lots of games you can play! And a lot of seating areas with fire pits, making it the best for when the weather is cooler!
Fixhugh Brewing
I actually happened to be driving by when they opened up and stopped inside! I love their unique beers (the Champagne beer especially and the Aus too). I enjoy their kid-friendly playground and their on-site dog park making this a super family-friendly brewery out in the area. PLUS that yard is fenced in so those small humans cant get out.
DISTILLERIES IN DRIPPING SPRINGS
Desert Door Distillery
This was one we recently went to for the first time! Love the outdoor dog-friendly patio covered in misters and shade, because that’s a must in the Texas heat. The cocktails were a delight as well, pictured here is the strawberry one I got! And then their indoor space is lovely too, not as big but still beautiful!
Dripping Springs Distillery
A brand new taproom, Dripping Springs Distillery is an incredibly old Texas distillery that just got a revamp! They have a full menu with tons of draft cocktails (all amazing) and a southern classics menu (may I recommend the Biscuits + Gravy). Plus, their outdoor field has SO much to do with games and property for tiny humans to run around. And TVs to catch the game inside + board games too. Literally, they have it all!
Treaty Oak Distilling Co
Another beautiful hill country tasting room and this one is very kid-friendly with a playground on-site! Love hanging out here if you’re a fan of spirits and cocktails. You can also do their tour + tasting, which is about $20 per person and includes 6 tastings for their gins + rums.
Deep Eddy Tasting Room
Another spot that Austinites are always visiting during the weekend because it’s a blast! Get your vodka tasting on here at Deep Eddy with an incredible hill country view.
Where to Eat in Dripping Springs
SALT LICK BBQ
Without a doubt, Salt Lick is the absolute best BBQ in Austin and yes I will fight anyone on that. But it actually isn’t even in Austin, it’s in Dripping Springs! Absolutely recommend grabbing food here with your group. Beware that there is almost always a 1+ hour wait, but you can enjoy the wine room next door before you eat. Also, it’s BYOB!!!
TILLIE’S
This is the restaurant at Camp Lucy that I was raving about earlier in Dripping Springs! A beautiful American restaurant with healthier comfort food options. You definitely want to try and get a reservation in advance, but this is perfect if you’re on a romantic getaway.
