Big fan of the East Austin brewery? Well now you can hit up the one on Airport that just opened!! @lazarusbrewing⁠

🍺 Lots of new & old beers on tap⁠
🍺 The usual food menu is here too⁠
🍺 Giant outdoor patio space with tables⁠
🍺 Dog friendly patio, bring your pups!⁠
🍺 Open interior space with a bar⁠
🍺 Upstairs has some seating / work areas⁠
🍺 Small lot, mostly free street parking⁠

Overall, it's a GEM and a cute spot I would absolutely hit up often! Very pumped it finally opened up, and excited to watch it thrive!

2023 would mark my 10th year in this city I love oh so much. Seen this city from Jester Dorms to the Hope Outdoor Gallery OG location to an entirely new downtown skyline to 7 ACL festivals, an entire pandemic, a snowpocalypse, our first ever Austin FC team, and SO much more.

So for the next many months I’ll be bopping around, hanging out in some new cities, spending time in some old favorites, and just enjoying the adventure for a bit.

I hope you don’t mind following along, but if you’re here for the Austin content only then come check back sometime next year 🤍🤍🤍

Which, thankfully, I got to enjoy plenty of last Saturday night with @remymartinus + @modluxdallas and @houston_magazine as we cheersed to a fabulous time in Austin!

¾ oz Cointreau
¾ oz lemon juice
& some lovely company to enjoy it with!

🗳️ You just need to bring your real ID, not the voter ID⁠

In Travis county you can vote at ANY polling location, but in some counties (i.e. Tarrant where I grew up) you can only vote at YOUR specific polling location! Make sure to check where you're registered to vote (I made this mistake as a student, lessons learned)⁠

Austin // And that concludes the Race Weekend events 🚗🏁 Our main learnings of the weekend are that Red Bull apparently does cars, Verstappen is younger than me (a child, basically), and I'm a sucker for all the events that happen in Austin AROUND the race! 🥂 ⁠

Hopefully switching it up from the ones youve been seeing with some NEW pro tips this time!!! (No shade, the staple tips are staples for a reason, highly recommend those!!!) ⁠

1️⃣ ENTER FROM AUSTIN HIGH! Avoid Barton Springs at all costs. Austin High has lower Uber costs, less traffic, and generally is gonna make life easier on you⁠
⁠
2️⃣ YOU WILL BE SEARCHED: Whatever you think you can sneak in, good luck. They have some days where they don't care and some they will open EVERYTHING you have and find anything you hide! Hide on body only!⁠

3️⃣ ACL FOOD IS GOOD! The best food I have ever seen at a music festival, don't sleep on it. If you wait to eat after ACL you'll STRUGGLE to find anywhere with space!⁠

4️⃣ KEEP YOUR PHONE IN HAND I've had too many friends with phones stolen out of your front + back pockets, bags, everywhere. In hand only, people.⁠

5️⃣ PHONE ON AIRPLANE MODE else you can watch your battery rapidly die finding service, and finding a ride home is going to be a nightmare⁠

6️⃣ DONT BOTHER W CUTE SHOES they will be disgusting and trampled by the end. Boots for The Chicks are cute in theory, but your feet will hate you more by the end of the night. Comfortable, and can get dirty ONLY⁠

7️⃣ PHONE BACKGROUND IS THE SCHEDULE a tip from the forever lovely @rachellately and one I live by now! I also put my lineup in my GCal so I can get the alerts 10 minutes before the show starts!⁠

8️⃣ SOAK YOUR BANDANA First pack of bandana, then you just keep water on it throughout the day to keep you cool. My best pro tip for staying cool in Texas heat!⁠

9️⃣ THE FLAGS. ARE NOT. A MEETING SPOT. Can't count how many times I hear "we're supposed to meet at the flags" terrible news there are 300!! Pick a STAND, a TENT, a STAPLE that there is only one of or say bye bye to your besties⁠

🔟 BACK OF CROWD IS BEST Look, being at the front is a blast. But surrounded by people? Squished in sweat? change it up and this year chill farther back with room to dance with your friends!!! Especially if it's someone you love to dance to!⁠
