They have tons of parking, so no issues for anyone there, and a shaded patio so you can stay cool while enjoying a cocktail. This spot is great because those happy hour wine glasses are NOT tiny!

Always a sucker for Better Half because not only do they have delicious beer and cocktails, but they have AMAZING burgers that I dream about for days. Seriously, the 50/50 burger is my heaven on earth. If you haven’t been, it’s a great space to hang out on the patio and enjoy time with friends and a good burger, and it’s just a super low-key outdoor patio spot!

This gorgeous space is newer to the city but already a favorite with it’s the stunning interior, expansive outdoor patio, live music, great happy hour, and wide range of cocktails, beer, and food options. It’s become a must-stop for and often will have a wait on weekends. But no worries, even with a wait you can grab a beer and walk around!

The waterside patio is one of my favorites, and I am always taking out of towners here! I love all the comfy seating they have too, and that part of the patio is covered. Warning though, I don’t love the food. Really stick to this as a beer and wine spot.

Firstly, this is actually home to one of my FAVORITE Austin food trucks, Patrizis. So if you want a patio where you can enjoy a full meal, this is totally the place to go. It’s very Austinite with it’s casual theater and live entertainment and delicious beer, plus it’s dog friendly. Cannot recommend enough if you have never been!

Best Patios in Austin Despite Their Lack of a Happy Hour!
Cosmic Coffee and Beer
A favorite of mine because of it’s a HUGE outdoor patio and how many food trucks they have! I love hoping over here both to get work done and to have a fun happy hour.
Buzz Mill
Buzz Mill is somewhere I have spent a TON of time this year because of their vegan food trucks. But they also have a bar inside with coffee, cocktail infusions, and beer on tap! Plus on Tuesday and Wednesday they have live comedy shows!
Bangers Beer Garden
They just removed their happy hour, and I am so sad! Bangers has an amazing outdoor patio and SO MANY beers on tap, the most I have ever seen in Austin. If you’re looking for German food and delicious beer in an outdoor space, this is a great option.
Meanwhile Brewing
I absolutely love Meanwhile despite the lack of happy hour. They’ve got a HUGE outdoor space as well and a kid-friendly playground right in the middle. Also, plenty of food trucks and cocktails if you aren’t a beer person!

The bar scene in Austin seems so fun! In DC there are a lot of rooftop bars but I’ve never been to a place with a nice patio!
