Christmas Capitol of Texas in Grapevine
Grapevine, TX || November 22 – December 25, 2021
My childhood Christmas spot since I grew up in Grapevine! They’re known as the Christmas Capitol of Texas for good reason, y’all. Everything from the Parade of Lights on December 2nd to having the Polar Express right in our backyard. You can drive down to Main Street and walk all the way down for the most delightful Christmas Aftoon in the cutest main street. A must!
Vitruvian Lights in Addison
Addison, TX || November 26 – January 2nd, 2022
From now until New Years you can walk around the Dallas version of Austin’s Trail of Lights in Addison! This holiday gem is a blast and makes for stunning photos at night. One of the best Dallas Christmas light shows to take advantage of!
Daystar Holiday Display
Bedford, TX || November 25 – January 2, 2022
This year, Daystar in Euless will be hosting its own holiday pop-up every evening! A kid-friendly Christmas town, plenty of lights, a drive-through tunnel, and so much more. A great event if you live in the Dallas area suburbs as I do!
Christmas in Frisco Light Display
Frisco, TX || November 26 – January 2, 2022
Going above and beyond with one of the largest choreographed light and music displays in North Texas. Plus they have an ice skating ring and a christmas tree maze, which makes it a blast for the kiddos and adults both!
Christmas in Roanoke
Roanoke, TX || November 26 – December 25, 2021
Little ‘ole Roanoke throws it back with their traditional Holiday celebration on December 1st! Perfect for that outside of Dallas proper and a great spot to bring kids! Everything from a Sip and Shop on November 27th, to a full celebration on December 4th and then Santa on December 11th.
Christmas at the Gaylord Hotel

Another childhood classic of mine! The Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, Texas goes ALL. OUT every holiday season. You can pop into the lobby for the most elaborate Christmas display in Dallas you’ll see, or enjoy one of their countless Christmas events. Either way, you’ll get lots of lights, activities, shows, and events at the Gaylord.

Enchant Christmas is one of the biggest Christmas events in Dallas! It’s a huge experience featuring live events, a light maze, shopping, dining, ice skating, and more. It’s basically a Christmas Festival! Prices do begin at $20 per person
Holiday at the Arboretum
Dallas, TX || December 6th – December 31st, 2021 || $15 per person
12 Days of Christmas features light shows, music, and hot cocoa! Their displays are always stunning for the holidays and feature the Christmas Village, the Artistry of the Nativity, the Dazzling Musical Christmas Tree, and 12 days of Christmas gazebo displays. Great for kids, tickets are $12 for kinds under 12 and $17 for adults
Dallas Zoo Lights
Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX || November 19th – December 31st, 2021 || $65+ per car
Dallas Zoo Lights is going all out this year, with a full adventure through the zoo. While the animals are asleep, the humans can check out the 3D light sculptures, massive animal lanterns, and so much more from the comfort of their car!
Dallas Symphony Christmas
Dallas, TX || December 9th – December 12th, 2021
The tradition of the Dallas Symphony Chorus performing their Christmas show continues in 2021! Get stunning holiday vocalists and incredible performances from these Dallasites. It’ll be at the Morton Symphony Center multiple days!
The Nutcracker at Moody Performance Hall
Dallas, TX || December 9th – December 12th, 2021
The Nutcracker will be performed at Moody Hall this December, accompanied y the live orchestra by Brad Cawyer. A perfect event to take your family this holiday season, the kind of thing my mom LOVES to get to do.
Snowday + Santaland in Dallas
Dallas, TX || December 6th – December 24th, 2021 || $25+ per person
One of the cutest Christmas events in Dallas this season would have to be Santaland. You can basically pretend you’re visiting the North Pole with this showcase! Think about riding on the Santaland Express train, wandering through the snowy Christmas trees, visiting Santa’s House, and enjoying so much more at this display. You can purchase tickets for the individual events, or get a combo which is about $12 for kids under 12 or $27 for adults
Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie
Grand Prairie, TX || November 20th – December 31st, 2021 || $35+ per car
Let’s all agree that nobody wants to get out of their warm car when it’s freezing outside, and with Prairie Lights, you don’t have to! Seriously one of the coolest spots, an easy Dallas Christmas lights event. Drive through 4 million Christmas lights from the comfort of a heated vehicle? Yes, please! Prices start at about $35 per car to go through
Highland Park Carraige Rides
Dallas, TX || December 6th – December 31st, 2021 || $10+ per carraige
NOT cheap, but seriously cool. Grab a large group of friends to split up this horse-drawn carriage ride through the Highland Park Christmas lights which are NEXT LEVEL. If you’re looking to impress a special someone, I would definitely say this will knock their fuzzy socks off!

Ice Skating in Dallas Fort Worth
Gallaria Dallas Ice Skating
$10+ || December 1st – January 12th, 2021
Skate around the gorgeous Christmas tree at the Galleria mall! A perfect holiday event for families. Also, they’ll have amazing Olympic Ice Skaters performing there throughout the month, so make sure to check the schedule for that!
Panther Island Ice Skating in Fort Worth
$6.50+ || November 19th – January 17th, 2022
The only ice skating spot in Fort Worth and it is a cutie! Not a huge rink, and absolutely will be packed, but great if you don’t mind either of those things. Either way, its a fun way to pretend we’re experiencing winter in Texas!
Gaylord Texas Grapevine Ice Skating
$18 || November 29th – January 2nd, 2022
In addition to ICE at the Gaylord, they do have an ice skating rink! Not as insane as the Galleria, but definitely a good place to go with a group of friends this winter!

Miracle has returned to Dallas at Royal 38 bar in Uptown, Dallas! This miracle pop up brings over the top decor, elaborate drinks, and a great time. My one complaint is that the drinks are a little on the expensive side, so maybe just go once!
The Tipsy Elf Cocktail Bar in Bishop Arts
Bishop Arts, Dallas, Texas || November 26 – December 25, 2021
Tipsy Elf has taken over the Good Companions spot in Bishop Arts District and gone above and beyond! No reservations required (love that) with fun signature cocktails and amazing decor. They’ll also being shows with Dallas Drag Queen, Gloria Devine. Overall, one of my top spot recommendations
Sippin’ Santa at RoPo
Knox Henderson, Dallas, Texas || November 11 – December 31, 2021
The tiki traditional holiday pop up Sippin’ Santa will ALSO be at RoPo and Logan, a midwest dive bar in Dallas. Think North Pole Punch, Runaway Sleigh, and more warm cocktails. Plus they have a full food menu and no reservations are required!
Miracle at the Adolphus
Downtown, Dallas, Texas || November 17 – January 30, 2022
Go above and beyond with a Miracle pop-up at the rooftop of the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas! This rooftop features cozy cabins, illuminated igloos, boozy cocktails, tableside smores, and so much more! Quite the stunning events!
Winter Wonderland at the Henry
Uptown, Dallas, Texas || November 23 – December 31, 2021
The Henry has gone above and beyond turning their beautiful restaurant into a full winter wonderland! Reservations are going to be recommended, and even required for groups of 6+. And they do have a $5 cover charge. But the food and ambiance will make it worth it!

Leela’s has returned with their wine bar holiday pop-up! Going on throughout the month of December 2021, you can visit their Christmas cocktails and all-out decor at both their Dallas and Trophy Club locations

Arlington, Texas || November 2021 – April 2021
Campo Verde’s Christmas display is basically year-round at this point! They’ve gone entirely all out and made the restaurant a full-fledged target dollar section extravaganza and it’s worth a visit.

Choctaw Stadium in Arlington || December 11th, 2021
This German Christmas market is hanging out in Arlington, and is one of the largest holiday markets you’ll find in the state! Open until Christmas Tuesday – Sunday from 11am to 9pm featuring lots of incredible local vendors. There are no admission fees, but parking fees may apply!
Saint Michaels’ Farmers Market
Klyde Warren Park in Dallas || December 18th, 2021
Visit Klyde Warren Park on December 18th for an elaborate pop-up farmer holiday market in Dallas! Get lots of local farmers, food artisans, and more at this market, and maybe pick up a local gift or two for your loved ones in Dallas!

This makes me miss the south so much! I used to live in Shreveport, Louisiana, and I went to Dallas all the time. I loved going during the winter months. I can’t tell you how many times I went ice skating at the Galleria. I wish I was there for som of these events!
